Vecta Energy Corporation
has prospective acreage in the Brewster and Harmattan
area which are proving to be productive with significant
liquids rich natural gas by utilizing today's new technology.
The Company has interest in the Brewster area of west central Alberta (in townships 42, 43 and 44; range 12-13, W5). These lands are prospective in the Belly River formation at depths of 1,500 to 2,000 metres as well as deeper zones including Nordegg, Rock Creek, Ellerslie, Ostracod, Falher and Notikewin. A total of six (6) wells have been drilled on Company acreage. Two (2) wells are currently producing; the 15-11 well and the 102/01-26 well. The 15-11-043-13 W5 well has been producing since July 2008 at a sustained rate of 350 - 400 mcf/d with liquids. The 102/01-26-043-13 W5 well came on stream in November 2010 and is currently producing ˜350 - 400 mcf/d plus liquids.
Vecta holds a 47.5% interest in the 12-15-42-13 W5 well which was drilled and suspended in 2006. Pipeline access is not feasible at today's gas price for a single well of this type.
The Company farmed out its 50% interest in Section 36-31-3 W5M. The farmee drilled and completed a well to earn a 70% Working Interest. Vecta retains a 15% carried working interest through completion. A horizontal well was drilled and tested the Cardium formation with a multi stage frac treatment. The Operator performed a workover in which Vecta elected not to participate. The last report after the workover showed the well producing ˜30-40 boe per day. Also in the Harmattan area, Vecta sold an interest in its acreage in 31-2 W5 but retained a 2.5% gross overriding interest. A horizontal well was drilled in what the company interpreted as a Mannville Channel environment and was completed as a gas / liquids well. In December 2010 the well was placed on production and is currently producing at a rate of 1900 boe per day (restricted) with 60% liquids.
